David Baulch, Deputy Auditor-General of Tasmania

David Baulch, Deputy Auditor-GeneralDavid Baulch was appointed to the position of Deputy Auditor-General on 20 April 1998. David joined the Tasmanian Audit Office in April 1994 following a 22-year career with the Australian National Audit Office. While serving with the ANAO David worked on a range of financial and performance audit activities in Canberra, London and Hobart. Prior to joining the ANAO David worked for eight years in a variety of administrative and accounting roles with the then Post-Master General’s Department.

David was admitted as a member of CPA Australia in 1971, advanced to CPA status in 1984 and has been a Fellow CPA since 1991.

David has been a member of the Board of Directors of CPA Australia since 1994 and was elected National President in April 2003. During the time as a member of the Board of Directors he has chaired the Audit and Risk Committee, the Corporate Governance Committee, the Board Nominating Committee, the Remuneration Committee and the Executive Committee.
